On Remaining Sweet and Becoming Sweeter

Interview with Brainz Magazine
Interview with Brainz Magazine

Feeling proud to share that my interview with Brainz Magazine is finally out! Can you believe it’s taken almost a whole year to complete? I’m delighted to finally share a little more of my story with you.

There was one question in the interview I didn’t answer at the time, so I thought I’d answer it here instead. They asked me about my greatest achievement so far in my career. There are many things I could share like being able to work as a full-time healer for nine years now, or simply the joy of doing what I love on my own terms (a godsend I don’t take for granted). But as I sat with the question, what surfaced wasn’t a milestone or title. It was something deeper, like an anchor in my nature that has carried me through some challenging times and allows me to continue this path with freedom, peace, and connection.

My greatest accomplishment in both life and career is this: I’ve remained sweet and am still becoming sweeter.

In an increasingly hostile world, this isn’t an easy feat. But maybe that’s the point. The world needs more sweetness, which means I also need to keep cultivating it within myself. Don’t get me wrong, I can get very serious, especially when it comes to my business practices. That’s why I treasure the people who make me laugh, who keep things lighthearted and remind me not to take life too seriously. Since moving to Okinawa, I basically wake up laughing each morning, and that joy spills directly into my work and my connections with clients.

Sweetness, for me, also means exploring how I can be gentler and more generous with the people closest to me. I love creating moments that make others feel special whether that’s through shared experiences, heartfelt care, or simply showing up fully present. For my clients and students, this translates into crafting healing experiences that stay in the body like a strong tethering to pure love, reminding them that they are ok, especially in uncertain times.

It does take determination to remain sweet. But for me, it’s the sweetness of loving and the sweetness of giving that keeps me balanced, connected, spiritually clear, and lovingly exuberant. And honestly, giving sweetness has amazing returns! Life is meant to be sweet!
