What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful way to bring calm and alignment into your life allowing you to express yourself with greater clarity of purpose and most importantly, ease. It's a rejuvenating practice similar to massage or accupuncture that involves only gentle healing touch.


Reiki helps reduce the stress of physical, emotional, and mental dis-ease.  A Reiki session will help you feel relaxed and calm. 


The health benefits of Reiki will vary from person to person. Here are some positive changes I've experienced with Reiki: 


  • Quicker transition to a place calm in times of crisis or stress.


  • Increased overall emotional well-being: Ability to navigate through feelings of sadness quicker.

What happens during a session?

During a session you will lay, fully clothed, on a massage table while I place my hands on and above certain areas along your head, face, torso, legs, and feet.  Some people fall asleep while others enjoy a state of deep relaxation. 

How do I prepare for a session?

Limiting your caffeine intake on the day of your session is highly recommended, especially before your initial session. The mind can play funny games with us whether we like it to or not and caffeine can create unnecessary resistance to this new experience. Otherwise, there's nothing you need to do to prepare. If you'd like to set an intention about what you'd like to change or transform in your life, please feel welcome. 


My personal intention with each session is to be of highest service to your healing, while remaining an open vessel of love, light, nurturing, warmth, and safety.  

Is there anything I should keep in mind (or do) after a session is over?

Just allow the healing to continue to flow through you. To track your progress, you can take notice of any changes occuring in your body, thinking, and even in your environment--its effects will last well into the week. 


Reiki is a customized experience so there's no right or wrong reaction to it.
